Manado, 15th October 2025 – The Faculty of Humanities, Sam Ratulangi University (UNSRAT), and the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FTIK), State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Manado, officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to enhance academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The signing ceremony took place at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, attended by Dean, and representatives from both faculties. The event marked a milestone in strengthening cooperation in teaching, research, community engagement, and student development.
The Faculty of Humanities UNSRAT was represented by Muh. Hasan Basri, S.Pd., M.Hum., one of the English lecturers at the faculty, who conveyed the institution’s full support for the collaboration.

“We believe that this partnership will open wider opportunities for academic exchange, joint research, and innovative learning initiatives between our faculties,” he stated.
Representing the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training IAIN Manado, Dr. Arhanuddin, the Dean of FTIK, expressed appreciation for UNSRAT’s openness and collaborative spirit.
“This agreement reflects our shared vision to improve the quality of education and to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation across institutions,” he said.
The MoA signing is expected to result in concrete academic programs such as guest lectures, collaborative research, student exchange, and publication projects that integrate the strengths of both institutions.
This collaboration marks an important step in advancing the quality and relevance of higher education in North Sulawesi, fostering synergy between public and Islamic universities toward innovation and community development. (FS)
