MANADO — The English Education Study Program (Tadris Bahasa Inggris) of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK), IAIN Manado, received institutional recognition through the AMI Award during the 2026 Management Review Meeting (Rapat Tinjauan Manajemen/RTM), held at NDC Hotel Manado from September 30 to October 2, 2026.

As part of the Management Review Meeting, IAIN Manado presented a number of AMI Awards to acknowledge academic and administrative units that demonstrated strong commitment to institutional quality assurance and continuous improvement. In the Seventh Cycle of the 2026 Internal Quality Audit (Audit Mutu Internal/AMI), the English Education Study Program was recognized for the Best Resolution of Audit Findings.

The award reflects the study program’s serious and systematic efforts in responding to audit findings, implementing follow-up actions, completing the required improvements, and strengthening evidence-based quality assurance practices. More importantly, the recognition represents the collective work and commitment of the entire academic community rather than the achievement of a single individual or unit.

This achievement is also a meaningful recognition of the leadership and continuous support provided by the Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, the Vice Dean responsible for academic affairs, as well as the Head and Secretary of the English Education Study Program. Their leadership, coordination, and commitment have played an important role in ensuring that quality assurance processes are followed by concrete, measurable, and sustainable improvements.

The collective commitment of the faculty and study program leadership has also been particularly important in maintaining and strengthening the quality standards required to sustain the accreditation of the English Education Study Program. Continuous evaluation, proper documentation, systematic follow-up of audit findings, and improvement of academic governance are essential components in ensuring that accreditation is not understood merely as an administrative status, but as an ongoing commitment to educational quality.

For the English Education Study Program, the AMI Award therefore carries a broader meaning. It recognizes the consistent efforts of faculty leaders, study program management, lecturers, administrative staff, students, and supporting units in building and maintaining a culture of quality within FTIK IAIN Manado.

The award also demonstrates the importance of strong coordination between faculty-level and study program-level leadership. Under the direction and support of the Dean and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the Head and Secretary of the English Education Study Program have continued to coordinate various quality assurance activities, including the completion of audit findings, improvement of academic services, strengthening of documentation, and preparation of evidence required to maintain institutional and study program quality standards.

The Management Review Meeting itself served as an important continuation of the 2026 Internal Quality Audit. Through the forum, university leaders and academic units reviewed audit results, discussed areas requiring improvement, and formulated follow-up plans for future institutional development.

Rather than viewing audit findings as weaknesses, the English Education Study Program regards them as valuable feedback and opportunities for institutional learning. Each recommendation provides a basis for reflection, corrective action, and the development of better academic practices.

Receiving the Best Resolution of Audit Findings Award in the Seventh AMI Cycle of 2026 is therefore both an achievement and a responsibility. It provides encouragement for the English Education Study Program to maintain the positive practices that have been established while continuously improving areas related to academic governance, teaching and learning, student services, research, community engagement, and quality assurance.

This recognition is expected to further strengthen collaboration among the leadership of FTIK, the study program management, lecturers, staff, and students in maintaining accreditation standards and advancing the quality of the English Education Study Program.

Ultimately, the achievement reinforces an important message: quality assurance does not end with an audit or an accreditation process. It is a continuous journey that requires leadership, teamwork, reflection, and sustained commitment. Through this collective effort, the English Education Study Program of IAIN Manado continues to strengthen its academic quality and its commitment to providing meaningful and high-quality education for its students.
