Manado, September 9, 2026 — The English Education Study Program (Tadris Bahasa Inggris/TBI) of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK), IAIN Manado, conducted its 7th Internal Quality Audit (Audit Mutu Internal/AMI) as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening academic quality and improving the implementation of higher education standards.

The audit was held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. Central Indonesian Time (WITA) until completion, at the Meeting Room of the Quality Assurance Institute (Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu/LPM), IAIN Manado.

The audit was conducted by Dr. Muhammad Tahir, M.Th.I., who served as the internal auditor. Representing the English Education Study Program during the audit process were Nur Halimah, M.Hum. and Fadhlan Saini, M.Pd.

Prior to the audit session, the activity was officially opened by the leadership of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. The opening session was attended by Dr. Arhanuddin, representing the faculty leadership, and Dr. Nurhayati, Vice Dean I of FTIK IAIN Manado.

The Internal Quality Audit serves as an important component of the university’s internal quality assurance system. Through this process, the study program is able to systematically evaluate various aspects of academic management, review its achievements, identify areas requiring improvement, and formulate appropriate follow-up actions for continuous quality enhancement.

The 7th Internal Quality Audit identified four areas requiring further attention and improvement within the English Education Study Program. Among the main findings were the need to strengthen student achievements at the international level and to improve curriculum evaluation, particularly the assessment and evaluation of Graduate Learning Outcomes (Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan/CPL).

Student achievement was highlighted as an important area for further development. The study program is expected to provide greater support and opportunities for students to participate in and achieve recognition not only at local and national levels, but also in academic and non-academic activities at the international level.

Another important point concerned the evaluation of the curriculum through the systematic assessment of Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL). Such evaluation is essential to ensure that the learning process remains aligned with the graduate profile, stakeholder needs, developments in the field of English language education, and applicable higher education quality standards. The assessment of learning outcomes is also expected to provide a stronger basis for continuous curriculum improvement.

The results of the audit are expected to serve not merely as part of quality assurance documentation, but more importantly as a foundation for the English Education Study Program to develop measurable and sustainable follow-up actions. The auditor’s findings and recommendations will be used to strengthen program governance, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, promote student achievement, and ensure the consistent attainment of established academic standards.

Through the implementation of its 7th Internal Quality Audit, the English Education Study Program of FTIK IAIN Manado reaffirms its commitment to fostering a sustainable quality culture through continuous evaluation, improvement, and development. This commitment is expected to contribute to the preparation of graduates who are academically competent, professionally qualified, and increasingly competitive at both national and international levels.
