Manado, 7th July 2025 — The English Education Study Program (Tadris Bahasa Inggris) together with others under the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) at IAIN Manado held a coordination meeting to initiate the development of the FTIK Strategic Plan (Renstra) for the 2025 period and beyond. The meeting took place at Dean’s room and was attended by study program heads, lecturers, and strategic planning team members.
The coordination meeting was aimed at aligning visions and collecting input from all study programs in FTIK to ensure that the upcoming Renstra reflects the academic, institutional, and societal goals of the faculty. The strategic plan will serve as a roadmap for FTIK’s development, guiding academic programs, community service, research, and quality assurance.Head of the English Education Study Program, Nur Halimah, expressed full support for the initiative and emphasized the importance of collaborative planning in responding to national education standards and the rapidly evolving needs of students and society.”This Renstra is not only a formal requirement but also a reflection of our shared commitment to advancing Islamic higher education, particularly in teacher training and educational development,” said Nur Halimah.The meeting discussed key issues such as curriculum development, lecturer performance targets, student achievements, research productivity, and community engagement programs. Participants also reviewed the previous Renstra and provided suggestions for improvement and innovation in the next planning cycle.By involving all departments in the process, FTIK aims to produce a strategic document that is inclusive, data-driven, and visionary, positioning the faculty to meet future challenges and opportunities.The next steps include forming a working team, collecting relevant data, and holding follow-up meetings to finalize the Renstra document before the set deadline.
