Bitung, North Sulawesi — On November 30, 2024, lecturers from the English Language Education Study Program at IAIN Manado conducted a community engagement program in Bitung, focusing on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into English Language Teaching (ELT) classrooms.

This initiative aimed to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement by introducing local educators to AI tools specifically designed for language instruction. Participants explored various AI applications, including intelligent tutoring systems, automated feedback mechanisms, and personalized learning platforms.

Dr. Mustamir, the program coordinator, highlighted the impact of AI on modern education: “AI offers powerful opportunities to adapt lessons to individual learning styles, making English learning more interactive and effective.”

The workshop received positive feedback from participants, who expressed enthusiasm for incorporating AI technologies into their classrooms. “This training has opened our eyes to the future of language teaching,” noted Roziawati Kaloso,S.Pd, a local teacher.
