Manado, November 23, 2024 — The English Education Student Association from IAIN Manado organized a community service event titled “Social Dedication” at Darul Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School, Manado with the theme “Let’s Explore the World with English,” this initiative aimed to teach English to the children, fostering both linguistic skills and enthusiasm for learning.

The program featured interactive English lessons, engaging games, and creative activities designed to make learning enjoyable. The organizers (students of HMPS TBI) emphasized practical skills, introducing basic vocabulary, simple conversations, and storytelling sessions to spark interest in the language.

Chairperson of the English Education Student Association, Elfira Shofia, highlighted the event’s purpose: “Our goal is to inspire these children to see English as a tool for broadening their horizons. By mastering English, they can access more opportunities in the future.”

The enthusiasm of the students was evident, with children actively participating in various activities, including English songs and role-playing exercises. These activities not only made the learning process fun but also helped the children build confidence in using English in everyday conversations.

The head of Pesantren Darul Istiqomah, expressed appreciation for the initiative, stating, “This program brings significant benefits to our students. Learning English opens new doors for them, and we are grateful to the IAIN Manado students for their dedication.”

The “Social Dedication” event underscores the importance of community involvement and the role of language education in empowering young learners.
