Manado, October 23, 2024 – On October 23, 2024, the Tadris Bahasa Inggris (TBI) students of IAIN Manado gathered for an exciting and educational event organized by the TBI Student Association (HMPS TBI). The event, titled “English Area: Indoor Games”, took place on the IAIN Manado campus and aimed to engage students in interactive learning through various indoor games designed to enhance their English language skills.

The event featured Fatimah Muntia and her team, who facilitated the games and activities. Fatimah, an experienced student and event organizer, introduced a variety of fun and challenging games that combined both entertainment and learning. The activities were designed to help students practice their English in a relaxed, social setting, encouraging teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in the process.

The indoor games included word puzzles, vocabulary challenges, and team-based quizzes, all aimed at improving students’ language skills in an enjoyable and interactive way. Participants were divided into groups and had to work together to complete tasks that tested their knowledge of English vocabulary, grammar, and general language proficiency. The games also provided a unique opportunity for students to practice speaking and listening in English while building camaraderie with their peers.

“Learning English doesn’t always have to be confined to the classroom,” said Fatimah Muntia. “Through games and interactive activities, students can improve their language skills in a way that is both fun and effective. The goal is to make English learning an enjoyable experience while also promoting teamwork and collaboration.”

The event received positive feedback from the participants, who expressed their enjoyment and appreciation for the opportunity to engage with English in such a dynamic and interactive way. Students noted that the event not only helped them practice their language skills but also allowed them to bond with fellow students in a relaxed environment.

HMPS TBI IAIN Manado continues to offer innovative and engaging events that cater to the academic and social needs of TBI students. By incorporating fun, hands-on activities into the learning process, the association encourages students to take an active role in their language learning journey and enhances their sense of community within the department.

The event concluded with a closing session where the winning teams were announced, and participants received small prizes to celebrate their achievements. Overall, English Area: Indoor Games was a success, leaving students with both enhanced language skills and lasting memories of a fun and productive day.
